What’s Going On

Remember little Nikolas from the donation cards? He was only four months old and needed surgery as soon as possible to save him from infection, however the cost of the surgery was around $12,000. Over the past two months, you all have blown us away with your generous donations. We are happy to report that Nikolas was able to get the surgery he needed! Here is an update on how he’s doing since his surgery: “Nikolas received his surgery and his incision site is healing, very slowly. He developed an infection but that has fortunately cleared up. He has hydrocephalus, and we are noticing that his head is getting bigger, which is extremely concerning. Hydrocephalus is sometimes very challenging to treat here in China, but we are hopeful that he will stabilize. Thank you so much for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. Cases like his are very tough, finding a loving family to adopt children like Nikolas is critical.”
